Dr. Ekiaka’s area of expertise are language learning and multicultural / diversity skill. He is a multilingual and multicultural educator who speaks fluently six languages and has an extensive cultural experience living and studying in several settings. As assistant professor at Principia, he chairs the Department of Languages and Cultures. He started his educator journey in Mexico City as an elementary, high school teacher, adjunct faculty of 法国, and associate coordinator of 法国. 一旦到了美国, he has held educator position such as a Graduate Teacher Assistant of 法国 and 西班牙语 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a 法国 instructor for high talented students at the Lincoln Public School, a Graduate Teacher Assistant of Bilingual Education at the Texas A&M University-Kingsville, and as a 法国 and 西班牙语 teacher in Manor and Austin Independent School.

SCHOLARLY INTERESTS

He is interested in social justice education in (bilingual) teacher education programs, children heritage language literacy, multilingual-multicultural education, and foreign language teaching.

CONTRIBUTIONS TO FIELD

Dr. Ekiaka has several articles published in his area of interest. He has made presentations at national and international professional conferences venues. He has served and serves as articles reviewer in several peer review professional journals. Besides serving as a textbook, conference proposals reviewer, he also has served as conference judge or referee.
